Whole Grains and iMovie – A Love Story

June 15, 2010

I think this is a good place to announce that I’ve recently jumped headfirst into a new relationship. His name is iMovie and we’re getting very serious.

A few months ago, I decided to take on the challenge of teaching myself all about iMovie and his many quirks and complexities. Having had experience with Avid and Final Cut Pro, I though, how bad can it be?

Well, for those first few weeks of our relationship, it didn’t look very good for the happy couple. We got into many intense and sometimes violent fights. At one point I threatened to throw my Mac out the window onto the busy streets of Boston, but I somehow held myself back since my computer has everything and anything important to my job on it (what are the odds?).

After many late nights spent working out our issues and a few therapy sessions provided by my co-workers, I think iMovie and I just might make it, being the crazy kids we are.

My latest creation? A suspenseful interpretation of the day Cynthia Beaumont, the winner of our “I Love My Whole Grains” contest, got to meet Chef Paul Lynch. Her and her mother spent that January afternoon soaking up the knowledge of Chef Paul while also learning how to cook healthy meals. Check out the video above, and if you need me, I’ll be hovering over my keyboard, cursing at iMovie and wishing for once that he would just LISTEN for a second. 🙂
